DIY No Sew Leg Warmers and Sweater Boots Tutorials from La Vie en Rose. If you live in a country or part of the US that gets snow you may appreciate this (I appreciate the sweater boots because sometimes you can’t get salt stains out of your boots). Top Photo: Recycled Sweater Leg Warmers Tutorial here, Bottom Photo: Recycled Sweater Boots Tutorial here. *These actually look a lot like the Steampunk Sweater Spats I posted a long time ago from Urban Threads here.
DIY Felted Sweater Blanket. Easiest instructions I’ve read so far - still a ton of work, but worth it (I’ve done 2 quilts using small squares of flannel that have this same type of look and are gorgeous). From recovergirl here. *When I was going to do felting I looked up tutorials on felting in the washing machine. I found several that suggested different ways of doing it (putting the bags in mesh bags etc…) to keep from totally gunking up your machine.
DIY Leg Warmers or Boot Socks. Simple tutorial with easy to understand instructions. Use the arms of sweaters (and if you can’t she gives you other options) and she shows you many cute ways to add embellishment to the tops. Tutorial by Made by Lex here. *I already posted this here but this is a better photo.
DIY Thrift Store Pillows. Ok, lots and lots of thrift store pillow tutorials - because this look has been so in style for several years, but the tutorial at Centsational Girl here, shows how simple and easy it is. Also love the red and grey sweater she chose.
DIY Steampunk Sweater Spats. Tutorial from Urban Threads here. What I like about this is that the buttons are only used for decoration - no button holes having to be made. Also, great tutorial even if you don’t have an embroidery machine. I also like that they added elastic at the bottom to hold them in place.
