DIY Creepy Porcelain Doll Head Night Light Tutorial from Mark Montano here.  This is so easy to do and as Mark Montano explains, using a porcelain doll head with glass eyes allows the light to shine through. *This would go well with my posts using doll parts: DIY Unique Doll Arm Jewelry Display here and Natasha’s Baby Doll Parts Coat Rack here.

DIY Inspiration. “Cameo modern” by Ms. Marrin of M. Graves Design House. She uses doll parts that are “attached to porcelain rounds and doused in high gloss enamel.”  Photo from the M.Graves site here. *I love this twist on the traditional and think you can get the same look by making molds and then reverse molds using polymer clay, painting them, and attaching 2 jump rings. You could use plastic animal heads etc…

Bernardaud’s “Geraldine’s” bowls. When you fill them with liquid, the outline of an cat (bird or wolf shapes also available) will appear. photo from Martha Stewart Weddings Spring 2011. Spotted at The Mirthmobile here. They go on to write:  These were designed by Geraldine de Beco, a young French designer, for Bernardaud, a fancy French porcelain manufacturer. So fancy, in fact, that one of these lovely pieces will set you back $189.  Has anyone else thought of this great idea? Can someone Targetize it?
