DIY Burberry Prorsum Inspired Studded Clutch Tutorial from Impomp-Two here. I really like how she used a plastic lion’s head, although you could use a lion drawer pull instead like in the DIY Mini Minaudiere from Honestly…WTF here.

DIY Spray Painted and Dipped Plastic Animals Tutorial from Honest to Nod here. The bull with drizzled blue paint on it reminds me of the photograph in the Top Photo where artist Doug Pederson took Dollar Store Animals and melted crayons over them (more images here). Bottom Photo: DIY by Honest to Nod. *For lots more altered Dollar Store plastic animals go here: truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/plastic-toys

DIY Metallic Foil on Plastic Beetles Tutorial from A Matter of Style here. Metallic foil is much cheaper than gold leaf and I find easier to use. This is another technique to transform cheap plastic animals and other objects that may look better in some cases than spray paint (I’ve used both the gold foil and gold leaf on frames). This reminds me of the gold leaf transformed plastic honey bear bottles from A Beautiful Mess I posted here.
DIY Plastic Animal Necklace. This reminds me of Anthropoligie’s Party Animal necklaces (knockoff tutorial posted here). How much do I love altering plastic animals and cheap plastic toys? truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/plastic-toys
