DIY Inspiration to Use Unconventional Materials for Crafting by Mich L. in L.A. I love the weekly “Guess the Mystery Thing” Challenge on Mich L. in L.A.’s site - and the funny guesses from readers. Both Photos: Mich L. in L.A. Top Photo: DIY Plastic Horse Comb Spiked Jewelry here, Bottom Photo: DIY Castrating Band Bracelet here (mini donuts anyone?). Both items can be found at farm and feed stores (I don’t exactly live in the country, but our area has a farmers’ store, and how interesting would it be to ask for castrating bands in different colors?). * I also posted Mich L. in L.A.’s Dollar Store Baby’s Pacifier Necklace here.

DIY Four No Sew Felt Pendants. I love ball chains and use them in my jewelry regularly. Normally I’d post this in my “big girl” blog, but these are easy enough for children to make with adult supervision. Tutorials from Wild Olive here.

DIY Glass Pendants. I’ve posted quite a few tutorials on glass pendants (here, here, and here) but each one seems to use slightly different jewelry findings and different glues, glazes etc… This tutorial lists where she got the supplies and mentions that you should Mod Podge (also mentioned in the resin blog I follow) your images if you don’t want them to bleed. Tutorial from The View from in Here.
