DIY Knit Outlander Inspired Cowl Free pattern by Kalurah on Ravelry.  I have seen a pay pattern on Etsy almost identical to this one, except I like this one better. “The Gathering” cowl is knit with size 50 (25mm) needles. It is free to sign up for Ravelry (no spam). Kalurah describes the cowl:

This cowl is inspired by the cowl worn by Claire Randall on the hit series Outlander.

I’ve studied the photos online and I think I have a really close interpretation. The cowl is knit entirely in Garter Stitch and the seam from Provisional Cast On and Kitchener Stitch is completely INVISIBLE!
The pattern has two full twists worked into the cowl so there’s no need to fuss with it after putting it on.
Cowl is SUPER stretchy and can be pulled down over your shoulders for an adorable little Capelet or pulled over your head and worn as a hood.

Here’s another Outlander DIY Chunky Knit Infinity Scarf Pattern from Knit 1 LA.

DIY Crochet Necklace Tutorial and Pattern from Gloria Fort. You determine how this necklace/collar turns out because much of it is freeform crochet.
