DIY Yarn Wrapped Lampshade Tutorial from Lana Red here. I am not a huge fan of all the really cool looking but harsh bare bulb lighting (unless it’s Edison Bulbs) I’ve been seeing recently (cage lights - some of which I’ve posted). So when I saw this clean and modern looking take on the string around the balloon pendant light I was happy.

Trumpet Lamp littlemoth42: This is a lamp i made for my mother for mothers day. it’s made from a recycled lamp and my old trumpet that i used to play in junior high. the base was cut, sanded, stained and varnished by me. it took me longer than i expected, which is why i finished it almost a week after mothers day. As for the case that held the trumpet- i’ll be turning that into a toolbox. :D

DIY Zip Tie Lampshade. This looks like it could be for sale in a gallery - go to site for more photos. Buy a cheap shade and then get the other supplies like zip ties  at Home Depot (I bought a huge pack of ties at Costco). Because you are spray painting the ties, the colors and gradients are limitless. Tutorial from A Little Glass Box here.
