DIY Tiny Notebooks. Difference: using a sewing machine to bind the book. I think this would work on miniature, really tiny books. There isn’t a tutorial for the cover of these notebooks, but there are lots on the web. Short explanation of how she made these at Angry Chicken here.

DIY Mixed Media Tissue Paper Technique Tutorial. Posting this not because I’m in love with what went on the tissue paper, but with the technique. I’ve used this on journal covers, frames, backgrounds for collages using foam core, etc… You get a really interesting almost leather like texture (also posted a designsponge tutorial using paper bags that I’ve also used to mimic leather). Tutorial at Artangel here.

DIY Dos-a-Dos Journal and Book Tutorial (basically three books back to back). Made out of a box - seriously. Since I seem to be listing my favorite blogs, this relatively new blog is my favorite one for using recycled items to make journals/books/art pages etc.. Her video tutorials are wonderful, down to earth, and show what you can do with cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, paint, paper, yarn and anything lying around. Tutorial/video from Jannibellie Studio here.
