Any skeleton hands on sale after Halloween? DIY Inspiration: Skeleton Hand Necklace from Joyeria Osea’s closed Etsy store. Found at ScienceBlogs here. *Tip: spray paint Dollar Store skeleton hands silver and string on wire. Another DIY skeleton hand piece: $3,996 Skeletor Belt by Delfina Delettrez here.
DIY Restyle Inspiration: Belts in back. So Different Trenchcoat from GoodGoth.com here (I never post affiliate links). Love the belted and longer cut back. Don’t sew? this site is relatively inexpensive and has a huge variety of sizes. Has anyone shopped online here? How is the quality?
My six year old niece called last night and asked to borrow a spiked collar (for her halloween costume) my sister remembered I used to have, but it wasn’t really mine so I don’t have it anymore. Then Hot Topic blew my sister’s mind, “No way is there a goth store at the mall.”
“Yeah, across from the cookies.”
Unless you’re six and your ears aren’t pierced yet, if you too would like to go as a “goth girl” for halloween, allow me to save you a trip to Hot Topic, $10.
Truebluemeandyou: Definitely cool and affordable for Halloween!
DIY Cameo Skull and other Macabre Jewelry. You know all those expensive Skull Jewelry pieces? Here is what you can make easily and cheaply from supplies from Etsy (all sellers had 100% positive feedback). I have worked with polymer clay ($.99 on sale) which is so easy to do and if in doubt look for a tutorial to tell you how to get the colors you want. You can always ask for “Food Grade” molds so you can make chocolate or whatever (but never use it for food once you’ve used polymer clay - and that goes for anything that touches the clay).

Etsy Lucia-Leather and Herringbone Spats - Military Style. Sold out, but were at ashesandempires’ Etsy Store. Photos still up here.
Perfect for the 100 degree weather we’ve been having. ASOS Vintage Look Parasol. Found on Domestic sluttery here. Her tagline is “The home and lifestyle blog for women who have better things to do.” Got to love her! I love following all the British blogs because they seem much less buttoned down (and more sarcastic and ironic) than a lot of the American ones. What she says about the parasol:
Dare I come out and say that summer is finally here? I don’t want to jinx it, but I think the two weeks of the year where we switch from moaning it’s too cold to moaning it’s too hot have arrived. No-one wants to accessorise their summer dress with burnt shoulders, so make like a Victorian lady or a sensible goth and keep the sun off with a parasol.
This vintage style cream cotton parasol is £25 from ASOS. You’ll be the most elegant lady on the beach, promenade or just the bus to work.
You can find the parasol from ASOS here for $43.10
