truebluemeandyou: DIY Tulle Pom Poms. Loved them when I posted them way back, love them now that outside party and wedding time is here again.
DIY Tulle Pom Poms. I saw these pom poms on pinterest that led me to Etsy where they are sold out (so much nicer in large photo here), and then went searching for a tutorial for them. I found one that had photos and written instructions (my favorite kind) at Once Wed here.
Unicorn Pegasus. I’m posting the prettiest unicorn I’ve ever seen (not too “My Little Pony”) because there are days when there just aren’t great tutorials being posted. So I’m not just going to post crap and make my blog look stupid. So instead… posting a unicorn. From deviantart by ~coconut-lane.
DIY Starburst Wrapper Bracelet Tutorial! Whys so excited? Because I did these all the time as a kid with gum stick wrappers (when gum was still shaped like gum). Tutorial from Fluffyland Craft and Sewing Land here. You can really do this with any thinnish paper. Good instructions and photos, and I wish I had chosen “fluffy” to be in my blog name…

Large Painting Full of Text on Canvas. Found at Alisa Burke here. Why is this a great project? Does it meet my “is this worth it” criteria? Big Bang for your buck - YES. Can I make it for much less than in the stores - YES. Can I make it my own - YES. Is this unique enough to spend my time on - YES. And this is why I like her tutorial so much because who knew you could use shoe polish like this?
I used raw and unstretched canvas that I first primed with white house paint (I often use this in place of gesso). I let it dry and then went to town writing out the poem- and believe or not I used black shoe polish to write with- one of my favorite supplies when working and writing on canvas to get nice lettering.

DIY Book Page Necklace at Mandypidy.com SUPER EASY tutorial here. Can imagine using all sorts of images (vintage roses? Mod 60s scrabooking paper? Old fashioned script?) for this. I have so many ideas floating around my head about this one!
