truebluemeandyou“I Am Who They Were” Necklace by Artist Ashley Gilreath 2011. Reblogging because I am going to make this on a much smaller scale by using  dollhouse frames/bezels and taken apart lockets (I could also make the frames by making a polymer clay mold). I would then print out photos on transparency paper (which I use all the time in my collages). *Another cheap gift idea I’ve done - print out a high contrast black and white photo on transparency paper and use neon green, white, or whatever color you want to back it with.

DIY iPhone Business Cards, but I’m also thinking party invitations or cards. iPhone business cards by Frederic Tourrou here. In the comments’ section he says that these are actual shots of his iPhone and only the top was changed.
How to take screenshots with your iPhone: all you have to do is press the on/off button at the top right of your phone and the home button down at the bottom in the middle of your phone at the same time.

DIY wire orb chandelier.

Truebluemeandyou: This actually looks really doable, and he gives you the gauge/size of wire you need and the number of feet. I love modern with an edge.

I found a cool Chrome extension that creates a color pallet out of any picture online! This is going to be fun to use. I find I’m drawn to things that have certain colors in them but when I try to make something, I can’t remember which combinations I liked the best.
Click through to get it too!

Truebluemeandyou: Really cool extension. Works like search by image by google extension (my absolute favorite) where you right click on an image. It creates 16, 24, 32 and then custom (up to 64) color swatches from the image you’ve clicked on. Thanks for posting this!

DIY Zip Tie Lampshade. This looks like it could be for sale in a gallery - go to site for more photos. Buy a cheap shade and then get the other supplies like zip ties  at Home Depot (I bought a huge pack of ties at Costco). Because you are spray painting the ties, the colors and gradients are limitless. Tutorial from A Little Glass Box here.
