colewegz asked you:
Hi there! I love your blog and I often try out projects you post :) I’m hoping to find a DIY project for my closet. I have two mirrored bi-fold doors and I’d like to cover them up somehow, while still retaining utility of the closet. And I’m renting, so I can’t do anything permanent.. I’m technically not even allowed to put holes in the walls. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Any suggestions? Brainstorming encouraged! I’d keep them as mirrors if they are nice full length ones - but that’s because I don’t have a full length mirror in my house and stand on chairs to see how I look (I have one from Home Depot that I’ve been too lazy to hang on the back of my closet door).
SUGGESTIONS:
- transgressingborders said: I would suggest painting or applying something directly to the mirrors (like a border or something). You can clean it off or scrap it off without damaging the mirror. I’d brush modge podge on lace and crawl it up the sides.
- cannibal-doll said: What about DIY decals from contact paper? I just made some for my room a while ago &I love them! A roll of contact paper at Walmart was only $6 too!
- golden-trash said: Take pretty wrapping paper and tape it to the doors, either completely covering them or forming frames with the paper.
