DIY Rainbow Cake Pops. Not as hard as it looks, and kids could get messy and help with mashing the cake crumbs together. Tutorial and recipe from munchkin munchies here.
I only post or reblog food that I know I can actually do. Really good tutorial and easier than it looks.
DIY No Bake Easy Peppermint Candy Hearts. Can be made in any color and adapted for any holiday. Recipe and instructions from A Chow Life here.

DIY 101 Valentine Ideas for Under $5 from Mud Pie Studio here. These are perfect for children. I did this for someone’s birthday (different things, different meanings, same idea) and they loved it as corny as it was. Here are just a few ideas from the site:
DIY Mini Piñatas! When I lived in Germany for a few years I made full size ones using paper mache over balloons and then crepe paper. Why? Because there were no Piñatas in Germany! These little ones are so simple to make and would be original party favors - and no paper mache mess. Tutorial from Oh Happy Day here.
DIY Coal Candy. Were you naughty or nice? Easy recipe - except from personal experience gettting that black color is hard. Do not use those diluted little tear drop shapped plastic squeeze bottles of food coloring. Buy Wilton paste or gel colors (using coupons!) and it will last you forever. Tutorial/recipe at Sprinkle Bakes here.
DIY Melted Chocolate and Candies in a Spoon. Chocolate, jelly beans, and little candies. Beyond simple tutorial at Delicious Delicious Delicious here.
DIY Chocolate Gnomes with Googly Eyes and Santa Hats. OK, this was a Valentine’s Post from Spark Bark, but these look like Santa Gnomes to me. I also like gnomes and still have a bag of googly eyes left over from Halloween. From Spark Bark here.
truebluemeandyou: DIY Interchangeable Pendants using magnets. Great gift idea. Cheap and easy.
DIY Eye Candy Necklace. Using magnets. This is a simple, really clever idea that can be used with almost any magnet. From A Creative Princess here.
The purpose of my blog has become to catalog unique crafts that I truly love and would do myself. I love the look of handmade crafts - handmade in a good way. My crafts tend to be doable and inexpensive - because I have either done them myself or intend on doing them. "Doable" doesn't mean "simple" crafts, but rather crafts that have tutorials that are clear and easy to understand. *I will never copy an entire tutorial from any blogger because that takes away page views from their site and 99.99% of the time it violates their copyright policy. I also will not reblog a post if the entire tutorial is published without the permission of the original blogger. I will cite, if known, sources for my posts because I believe in giving credit to the photographer/designer/blogger. Also, to act like something is your own idea, when it isn't, is just wrong.
