diychristmascrafts: DIY Easy Folded Leather Basket Tutorial and Template from Between The Lines here. This project does require a hole punch, rivets and rivet setter, but these tools are pretty cheap. These baskets would make lovely presents filled with whatever you wanted to put in them. You could also use try using other stiff materials like thick felt, vinyl, or foam sheets.
