DIY Paper Rings Inspired by Jeremy May of Littlefly here. Top photos are from Alia_’s Flickr feed here, bottom photo is from her feed here (also check out her other amazing jewelry). Translated into English:
Top Photos: “I don’t know what process Jeremy May used for their paper rings. I did about 80 layers of different papers with different textures and colors, and and glued them together. It is important to have a die in the center circle. Once dry, it works like a piece of wood, and you have to file and polish to refine the shapes, and sand to match the sides so as not to notice the step between the coarse to fine. Then a couple of coats of gloss and you are done.”
Bottom Photo: “Jewels of Paper Ring. Materials: paper, white glue and varnish.”
The purpose of my blog has become to catalogue crafts I truly love and would do myself. I love the look of handmade crafts - handmade in a good way. I will cite, if known, sources for my posts because I believe in giving credit to the photographer/designer/blogger especially regarding craft projects. To act like it's your own idea or post someones tutorial word for word is just wrong. I also look at all the posts of people I follow. What they post inspires me. I am still interested in innovative anything that holds my attention, and makes my creative work in the real world better. * My crafts tend to be doable and inexpensive - because I have either done them myself or intend on doing them.
