How to look things up quickly in your archive - using tags to search your blog

If you want to find something quickly in your archives tag it with something you’ll remember. I use lots of tags so I can look up things really quickly. I’ve tagged the Pearl Chain Maille Necklace I just posted with “chain maille” and “pearls” so I can quickly look it up by typing http://truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/pearls. This is how I use my blog as a huge but better Pinterest Board.

DIY Pearl Chain Maille Bracelet Tutorial from Irina’s Cute Box here. I’ve made chain maille bracelets before - but not like this one. From the comment section it is obvious that you have to make your own jump rings and there are lots of tutorials on the internet on how to do this. If you don’t have the right size jump ring your pear/bead falls out. A BIG THANK YOU to heyylinda for messaging me the link to this tutorial.

truebluemeandyou: DIY Plush Hobbes. Just saw an Etsy $65 crochet version on the Tumblr featured CRAFTS tag and actually like this one better.

DIY Hobbes from the Calvin and Hobbes Comic Strip. The creator of Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson, never licensed any of his characters for anything - so there are no mugs, no stuffed characters etc… This tutorial from Instructables here makes it really clear that there is lots of hand stitching, but Hobbes is made out of easy and inexpensive fleece.

DIY Best Galaxy Painting Tutorial Ever from Gloriously Chic here. Most galaxy painting tutorials just skim over the details and are really vague - but NOT this one. Very detailed and loads of photos. I really like Gloriously Chic’s bog (and am so glad she initially messaged me!) because she is not a “cutesy” blogger and offers really good advice based on her DIY experiences. For more Galaxy DIYs go here (like copyright free NASA galaxy photos): truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/galaxy
